Robert George is an experienced trial attorney who has represented clients in both civil trial and appellate matters throughout Florida in both state and federal courts. Over the past nineteen years with the firm, Mr. George has enjoyed representing national and local businesses as well as individuals. Mr. George’s areas of practice include business and commercial litigation, professional malpractice, class actions, general real estate litigation, contract and insurance disputes, personal injury, creditors’ rights/bankruptcy and wrongful death claims. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. George advises clients on franchise related matters and is a Civil Circuit Certified Mediator. Mr. George currently serves as the firm’s managing partner.
Mr. George was born and raised in Lake City, Florida. He attended the University of Florida where he earned his B.S.B.A. in Economics, with honors, in 1992. At the time of his graduation, Mr. George was listed in Who’s Who of American College Students. Mr. George continued his education at the University of Florida, College of Law where he graduated, with honors, in 1996.
Mr. George is an active member of The Florida Bar, the Jacksonville Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. Through the local Bar, he has served as the Chair of the Commercial Litigation Section for three years. Mr. George has also served on the Florida Bar’s grievance committee and the Federal Bar’s pro se committee and magistrate nomination/retention committee. Mr. George has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine and one of Florida’s Legal Elite by Florida Trend Magazine. Both magazines designate the top two percent of Florida lawyers as designated by their peers.
Mr. George is also involved in numerous community service projects and organizations not associated with the practice of law, including his church, where he served several terms as an Elder, The Presbytery of St. Augustine, where he has served on the Administrative Commission and Disciplinary Committee; The Sanctuary on 8th Street, where he serves as the President of the Board of Directors; and The Camp Diversity Foundation, where he serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Robert and his wife, Erin, have two children.
