Michael D. Lee is an “AV” rated (Martindale-Hubbell) lawyer representing businesses and individuals with commercial disputes and litigation in Florida’s state and federal courts. Mr. Lee has extensive experience with claims involving contracts, fraud, shareholder/partner disputes, breaches of professional and fiduciary duties, real estate, insurance, intellectual property and illegal competition, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. Mr. Lee also represents banks and other lenders in connection with litigation, asset recovery and workouts of commercial loans, including creditors’ rights in bankruptcy. Mr. Lee’s other representative experience includes:

  • Successfully representing clients to resolve internal business disputes regarding the operation, management, and proceeds of their businesses.
  • Successfully extricating family members from closely held businesses to allow them to go forward and independently pursue future business endeavors.
  • Litigating fraud, contract and breach of fiduciary duty claims, including the use of forensic accounting tools and analysis in support.
  • Litigating both large and small disputes, for national and local business clients, with an understanding of the differing needs and resources to be brought to each.

In the community, Mr. Lee is proud of his work with the Oceanside Rotary Club and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida, enjoying the opportunity to serve his community and perform hands-on projects with fellow local professionals, leaders and friends. Mr. Lee serves on the boards of directors of both clubs. In his spare time, Mr. Lee enjoys spending time with his wife, Jenny, and their three children, playing golf, and living at the beach.
