Jim Nolan is an experienced transactional attorney who practices in the areas of business and real estate transactions, tax and estate planning, and probate and trust matters.  Mr. Nolan has represented clients in numerous business transactions such as acquiring and selling businesses, adding shareholders and partners to existing businesses, acquiring, licensing or disposing of commercial assets, preparing buy-sell and partnership agreements, and tax-free corporate reorganizations. Mr. Nolan has represented many franchisors and franchisees in various capacities.  Mr. Nolan represents individuals in estate and succession planning, including preparation of wills, trusts and related estate planning documents and transactions.  Finally, Mr. Nolan represents trustees, beneficiaries, personal representatives, guardians and families with probate, trust, and guardianship administration and litigation.

Mr. Nolan was born and raised in south Louisiana.  He attended Texas A&M University and University of Louisiana.  After a successful business career in the oilfield and manufacturing industries, Mr. Nolan attended the University of Florida Law School where he graduated with honors in 1997.

Mr. Nolan is a husband and father of three.  He is active in local and state bar activities, having served as co-chair of the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Computer Law Committee and its Professionalism Committee.  He is active in his local community serving on numerous boards and assisting several charitable organizations, including his church where he serves as an Elder, and the Presbytery of St. Augustine, where he has served on the Administrative Commission.
